Learnings from Arjun’s Journey!
Patience, persistence, and the zeal to learn have been a constant theme that we have watched, understood and imbibed as the perfect recipe to move ahead in life. While you would have read numerous books and watched a dozen movies, we are here with a journey from within Srijan, journey of Arjun Ji.
Arjun ji always wanted to grow beyond his comfort zone and with the same thought in mind, he moved to Delhi in the early 2000s, where he started working as a key stakeholder ensuring day to day company operations. With a few stints in his hands, he started working with Rahul’s father and supported him in administration responsibilities.
He always was inclined towards technology and wanted to work in an area that was closely linked to computers. It was around this time that Rahul was also working towards establishing a software company, called Srijan Software Consultant. With nothing else but passion to work around computers Arjun Ji joined the company.
At the newly found Srijan, Arjun Ji ensured that there was no blocker in running the company, he took responsibility not only that of Admin but of whatever was required to make the day successful. He took multiple hats going from Admin to Accounts, to IT and even in some cases he would even be there to support demos for a few clients. Until 2010 he would be the go-to person to get everything you name.
And when it came to expanding Srijan beyond a single location, he was again leading the chariot of establishing the Dharamshala office along with support from various Srijan leaders.
How was he able to pivot and handle so many things, all side by side?
In his own words, he never felt restricted by the scope of work and the expectations for delivery.tasks at Srijan, he saw the need to take up accounts of the company as well. He has in past had
He closely feels that learning is a continuous process and as you learn more you realise that you can take a deeper dive into the knowledge pool.
As mentioned above, his sole intention has been to ensure that Srijan experience, be it clients or employees is always smooth and amazing, while he was effectively managing all the admin a small stint with a CA and used whatever he observed and learned from there, when he found that he needed to dig deeper into working on accounts, he took up the initiative of taking up a course on Tally so that he can make the best use of skills and not because he was asked to do so.
As with time he gained momentum, he felt this urge to complete his education, so in 2012, while he was still working with Srijan, he decided to pursue a BCom degree and so between 2012 and 2015, he would manage both Srijan and his education without compromising any of them.
What keeps the ship sailing?
According to Arjun Ji, the basic mantra of moving in the desired direction is just to go with the flow and just focus on giving the best of yourself. He feels that the only thing holding you back is your own belief, of course there might be some hiccups but as long as you believe that you can do it, you will be able to do it.
Keep looking forward, grab the opportunities and expand your horizons, the reward of this combination will for sure be mesmerizing.
What does he want to say about Srijan?
Srijan offers you a lot of opportunities and there is no restriction in the direction you want to grow in, just be proactive with what you want to do, people will coordinate with you to achieve the same.
While he does not follow any famous personality, he feels that time and again different people at Srijan have inspired him to bring out his best version.
